Things Remembered (My Farewell to Japan)

Just as I was getting used to the routine of life in Japan, my time at Kobelco came to an end. I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to work so closely with the Legal Department in Kobe Steel.

I was given challenging assignments regarding interpreting provisions in contracts and researching U.S. laws.

This internship was definitely research focused and greatly improved my research and legal analysis skills. Gaining the experience with Kobelco and interning in Japan has been the highlight of my law school career to date.

Interning with Kobe Steel in Tokyo reminded me of why I love cities like Tokyo. I love the people that comes along with major cities like Tokyo. I worked with amazingly kind and generous people. Everyone in the Legal Department of Kobe Steel seemed unified in the common goal of producing great work.

I truly believe Japan has some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises in the world. I am immensely fortunate for the experiences I had and the sunrises and sunsets I saw while there.

I know during my time at Kobelco I made some lasting relationships and I look forward to seeing the continued to success achieved there.
