HOTELS AND TRANSPORTATION
Hotels
We have negotiated a special group rate at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel, directly across the street from the law school, of $159 per night plus tax. The reservation deadline for the group rate is Wednesday, August 16, 2017, or when the entire list of rooms is booked, whichever comes first. If necessary, cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled day of arrival to avoid a one-night cancellation charge. Reservations may be made by calling the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel at 817-335-7000 or on the Sheraton's website via the room block link. Be sure to mention you are attending the “12th Annual Colloquium on Scholarship in Employment and Labor Law (COSELL)” to receive the group rate.
Other downtown Fort Worth hotel options include the Omni, Hilton, several Marriott properties and the Ashton Hotel. Please note that these other hotels do not have reserved room blocks or special group rates for the colloquium.
Many direct flights available
Fort Worth is conveniently located in the center of the country, just a few hours flight from either coast. The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), the second largest in the country, has direct flights to over 200 locations around the world, and is a hub for American Airlines. DFW Airport, approximately 22 miles away, is the closest airport to the law school. Dallas Love Field (DAL), approximately 35 miles away from the law school, is a hub for Southwest Airlines.
Transportation
The Sheraton Hotel is directly next door to Texas A&M Law School and most downtown hotels are within walking distance from the law school. So, there is no need for a rental car or other transportation between the law school and the hotel.
"Molly the Trolley" offers free trolley routes throughout downtown Fort Worth and picks up directly in front of the Sheraton Hotel, as well as most other downtown hotels.
The Sheraton Hotel does not offer a shuttle from the airport, but ground transportation options are available, such as taxi, SuperShuttle, shared ride (Uber/Lyft/etc.) and rental cars.
Free parking for conference attendees is available in the law school parking lots.
