Ceremony Details

The Spring 2019 Texas A&M University School of Law Hooding and Commencement ceremony will take place on Friday, May 3, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary MacGorman Chapel.

Graduates are encouraged to invite family and friends to Commencement. Tickets are not required and seating is based on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to receiving their degree, graduates will be "hooded" by student-selected faculty members. In the tradition of academic regalia, the colorful hood is reserved for those individuals who have attained academic degrees beyond the bachelor's degree. Hoods are lined with the official colors of the university conferring the degree, of course Aggie Maroon for Texas A&M, and are faced with velvet in the specific color corresponding to the academic degree -- purple for Juris Doctor.

500K Aggie gradsTexas A&M University is proud to be granting our 500,000th degree during May 2019 commencement ceremonies, marking a major milestone in our 143-year history. To the half million former students who have carried the Aggie Spirit, living our core values, "true to each other as Aggies can be" -- hats off to you!

Thanks & GIG 'EM!
