Texas A&M Law: Our Community in Action

We live out our Core Values through scholarships, student organizations, engagement with bar associations, and more. Our students can find community both on and off campus, by connecting with others of similar backgrounds and shared experiences, and engaging those in the community who are less familiar.

Our Differences Make Us Stronger

The diverse characteristics of the students, faculty, and staff that comprise Texas A&M Law strengthen our academic community. These include and extend beyond differences in age, background, citizenship, disability, education, ethnicity, family status, geographical location, language, military experience, political views, race, religion, socioeconomic status, and work experience. Our community supports individuals from all groups and encourages exploration of differences in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing academic environment. Our goal is to ensure that all students at Texas A&M Law feel like they belong.

Title IX

Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sexual harassment, sexual violence, and discrimination on the basis of sex. On the Texas A&M School of Law campus, that means that all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to our campus are protected from all forms of sex discrimination. Through our six core values —loyalty, integrity, excellence, leadership, respect, and selfless service — we strive to ensure that members of our Aggie community feel safe on campus, and that means a place free from sexual discrimination, harassment, and related retaliation.
