On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Professor Carol Pauli and Professor Sahar Aziz hosted a group of Egyptian television producers and journalists as part of the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Exchange Program.  Professor Pauli discussed the U.S. approach to freedom of the press, and Professor Aziz discussed United States foreign policy and rule of law initiatives focused on Egypt and the broader Middle East.  The convening triggered an engaging discussion about the similarities and differences between Egypt and the United States with regard to the role of the press and its legal rights.
