OUR CONSTITUTION AND THE JUSTICES WHO INTERPRET IT

Meg PenrosePresented by Professor Meg Penrose,
Texas A&M University School of Law

The United States holds to a longstanding aspiration to be a “nation of laws” rather than of individuals and their whims, and the pinnacle of our nation of laws is the United States Constitution. Yet both the Constitution and many laws enacted by Congress do not—and frequently cannot—fully function without judicial interpretation, and the final interpreters are the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. Professor Meg Penrose, an expert on Constitutional Law, will provide an overview of the Justices shaping our law and the sources of their constitutional and statutory powers, with a particular focus on the Interstate Commerce Clause. Join us for a fascinating presentation that will provide consequential insights into our Constitution that matter for both businesses and individuals alike.

Time:  12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Location: The Dominion Country Club, One Dominion Drive, San Antonio TX 78257

Continuing Legal Education credit (0.5 hours) will be offered for Texas attorneys who attend the event.
