This free public forum will examine the future of invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the United States, with a special focus on the role of universities.

The featured speaker will be USPTO Director Andrei Iancu, who serves as Vice-Chair of the recently established National Council for Expanding American Innovation. The Council works to promote inclusiveness in innovation and increase the development and participation of underrepresented groups as inventors and entrepreneurs.

Director Iancu will take questions from the audience after his remarks. Regional Director Hope Shimabuku will also discuss the ongoing efforts and initiatives of the Texas Regional USPTO. Professor Saurabh Vishnubhakat of Texas A&M will serve as moderator.
