Texas A&M University School of Law is proud to host the Supreme Court of Texas for oral arguments, allowing our students the rare and invaluable opportunity to witness oral arguments live and in person.
Schedule:
- 7:45 a.m. - Building doors open for security screening at Commerce St. entrance
- 8:20 a.m. - Please arrive no later than 8:20 a.m. to allow passage through security
- 8:45 a.m. - Everyone seated. Welcome remarks by Dean Bobby Ahdieh
- 9:00 a.m. - approx 10:50 a.m. - Oral Arguments
• 40 minutes each with 10 minute recess between arguments
• Case 18-0426, William Brewer v. Lennox Hearth Products
• Case 18-0737, In re Murrin Brothers
- 10:50 - 11:00 a.m. - 10 Minute Break
- 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. - Q&A
Due to seating capacity limitations, only a small number of attendees are able to be seated in the Courtroom. There will be overflow seating in classrooms which will have the public simultaneous webcast available at http://www.texasbarcle.com/CLE/TSC.asp.
The oral arguments are open to the public, but
RSVP was required and seating is limited.

The oral arguments will be simultaneously webcast through a partnership with the State Bar of Texas at http://www.texasbarcle.com/CLE/TSC.asp.
Attendees, including media, are prohibited from using cell phones during the court’s session.
No backpacks, briefcases, or large bags allowed in the courtroom.
Those attending the arguments should be dressed appropriately for court. Hats are not to be worn in the courtroom. Be aware that additional security measures will be in place in the building the day of the arguments.
Pursuant to Texas Penal Code Section 46.03.(3) and University Rule 34.06.02.M1 subsection 6.A.(3)(e) the licensed carry of concealed handguns is temporarily prohibited at Texas A&M University School of Law during the visit of the Supreme Court of Texas on October 10, 2019, from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
