Tuition & Fees
- The Master of Laws (LL.M.) program of study requires the successful completion of at least 24 credit hours.
- The typical full-time LL.M. student will enroll in 12 semester credit hours allowing for the completion of the program within one academic year (two long semesters – fall and spring).
- A part-time LL.M. student must enroll in at least 5 semester credit hours to qualify for federal financial aid. A student attending courses during the fall, spring, and summer semesters can complete the program within two years.
- The Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program requires the successful completion of at least 30 credit hours.
- The typical full-time MLS student will enroll in 15 semester credit hours allowing for the completion of the program within one academic year (two long semesters – fall and spring).
- Part-time MLS students must enroll in at least 5 semester credit hours to qualify for federal financial aid. A student attending courses during the fall, spring, and summer semesters can complete the program within two years.

Many of our graduate programs are self-supporting and therefore ineligible for state of Texas tuition exemptions. If you are planning to use a state of Texas tuition exemption, please contact the
Financial Aid Office to verify whether the specific program you are joining is eligible for the exemption you plan to use.
International students must have the financial resources to cover all costs associated with the program through personal resources or private funding.
Students looking for financial support should contact the Texas A&M
Financial Aid office. We believe there is a significant advantage of being able to continue to work full time, to live anywhere in the world, and to study at hours convenient to the individual. In the long run, a student should see a savings over the cost of leaving a job, relocating, and organizing personal lifestyles around preset university schedules.

Texas A&M University has a distinguished history of providing educational services to individuals preparing to enter our Armed Forces, those currently serving and personnel transitioning to civilian life.
Veterans and their dependents may be eligible for both federal and state tuition benefits.
Many of our graduate programs are self-supporting and therefore ineligible for state of Texas tuition exemptions, like Hazlewood. If you are planning to use a state of Texas tuition exemption, please contact the Law School Financial Aid Office to verify whether the specific program you are joining is eligible for the Hazlewood or other exemption.
