Our Part-Time Program

At Texas A&M University School of Law, we are committed to our students’ success. That’s why we offer programs that reflect the diversity of our students’ scheduling needs, including a Part-Time Day program and a Part-Time Evening program.

Part-time Day Program

The program is generally a four-year course of study organized as follows:

  • During the first year, students take 11 semester hours in the fall and 11 semester hours in the spring.
  • After the first year, a part-time day student must take between eight and 12 semester hours per semester, including required lockstep courses, and may take up to six semester hours in the summer session and one semester hour in the winter session.
  • Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., and they vary in length from one to two hours. Some weekend classes are also offered.
