The Latinx community is growing increasingly significant in local, state, and national affairs. Given the relative youth of the Latinx population, one vital task is training the next generation of Latinx leaders to assume positions of prominence in every facet of American life. Yet, there are relatively few programs dedicated to developing Latinx leaders, including those in law school and law practice. This webinar will showcase some of the impactful programs that are grooming promising young Latinx to become lawyer-leaders. Program directors and alumni from these leadership initiatives will:

• Describe the leadership development opportunities.
• Foster ideas for the audience to advance leadership development in their own communities.
• Discuss ways to engage more lawyers in the leadership conversation.

Texas A&M University School of Law and the Network for Justice host this webinar series to examine pressing issues in social justice & the law, particularly as they impact the Latinx community.

We encourage students, lawyers, and community leaders who care about social justice and civil rights to join us in these online discussions. Our goal is to engage a variety of people in a multi-generational conversation to help us understand the social justice challenges and opportunities in the United States.

While some of the panelists are attorneys, they will be discussing the law generally, and nothing in the webinar should be considered as legal advice. Attendees should consult their own legal advisor to address their own unique circumstances.
