The Fall 2017 Texas A&M University School of Law Hooding and Commencement ceremony will take place on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Fort Worth Masonic Center.
Graduates are encouraged to invite family and friends to Commencement. Tickets are not required and seating is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open for guest seating at 12:15 p.m.
In addition to receiving their degree, graduates will be "hooded" by student-selected faculty members. In the tradition of academic regalia, the colorful hood is reserved for those individuals who have attained academic degrees beyond the bachelor's degree. Hoods are lined with the official colors of the university conferring the degree, of course Aggie Maroon for Texas A&M, and are faced with velvet in the specific color corresponding to the academic degree -- purple for Juris Doctor.
