CLIP: A Leading International Hub for IP Research

Nationally Ranked Program with Global Scope

Whether you plan to work in the United States or abroad, we understand your need for familiarity with the rapidly changing global business environment.

TAMU Center for Law & Intellectual PropertyThe Center for Law and Intellectual Property (CLIP) is one of Texas A&M Law's flagship programs. It is also a leading international hub for IP education and research. Most recently, peer surveys conducted by U.S. News & World Report have ranked us 7th among the top IP law programs in the United States.

In addition to having three leading scholars of international IP law -- a rarity among U.S. IP law programs -- our IP faculty features professors who have taught or lectured abroad. Many of them also actively engage in policy debates, often working closely with national governments, international organizations (such as the World Intellectual Property Organization) and nongovernmental organizations.

Aggie Law IP students enjoyed the opportunity to study in Italy for a summer field-trip course focusing on art and cultural heritage law. The course is taught at Texas A&M University's Santa Chiara Study Center in Castiglion Fiorentino. Students also have learning opportunities at a Texas A&M-affiliated facility near San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
