Important Dates and De​adlines for Fall 2019 Graduates

  • You must apply for graduation through Howdy on the My Record tab. Diploma fee applies.
  • Aug. 14 - ​Fall graduation applications open in Howdy
  • Sept. 27 - Last day to apply for ​Fall degree without a late fee
  • Dec. 4 - Absolute last day to apply for ​​Fall degree. Must apply in Student Services. No applications accepted after 5 p.m.
  • Dec. 13 - Designated Fall 2019 graduation date.

Apply for graduation

All students planning to graduate must apply for graduation at the Howdy Portal on the My Record tab. To be eligible for graduation, students must also

  • pay fees associated with graduation,
  • meet specified deadlines, and
  • have their pro bono requirements verified.

Application for Degree

All students planning to graduate at the end of the current semester may file applications for degrees online via the Howdy portal.

Diploma Fee:

A non-refundable diploma fee per degree sought is assessed the semester a student applies for graduation. This fee is payable each time a student applies for graduation. The diploma fee is increased for those who apply after the set deadline.

The diploma fee is charged to the student’s billing account; it is due at the next payment due date along with any other tuition and fees. It will not have a separate due date.

  • Jan. 8 - Spring graduation applications open in Howdy
  • Graduation Meeting -- date, time & location TBD
  • Feb. 14 - Last day to apply for Spring degree without a late fee
  • April 30 - Absolute last day to apply for ​Spring degree. Must apply in Student Services. No applications accepted after 5 p.m.
  • May ​1, ​12:30 p.m. - Graduates and participating faculty must be at graduation ceremony location no later than 12:30 p.m.
  • May ​1, 1:00 p.m. - Graduation/Hooding/Commencement Ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m.
