Reduced tuition starting Fall 2016!

Beginning Fall 2016, our resident tuition and fees will be reduced for both continuing and entering law students, and will be a locked rate for four academic years, enhancing both affordability and accessibility. Resident tuition and fees will be lowered by 15.39% percent from $33,092 to $28,000 for full-time and from $24,070 to $22,000 for part-time, effective academic year 2016-2017. Learn more.

As of the 2016-2017 academic year, tuition & fees for Texas A&M University School of Law J.D. degree are different for in-state Texas residents and out-of-state/non-Texas-residents.

COA determines the per student limit for total financial aid from all combined sources under federal regulations. Federal, state and institutional aid cannot exceed this cost.

  • Potential adjustments to the COA may include one-time computer purchase, childcare assistance, and major unreimbursed medical expenses.
  • All adjustments to the COA will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be approved through the Office of Financial Aid.

Students seeking financial aid for summer enrollment will need to check the “Incomplete Documents” tab in their Financial Aid portal in Howdy after Registration. Your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) from the previous fall and spring semester must be on file in order to determine eligibility.

Online Payments

  • Students can make payments online using E-Checks, American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, personal check, cashier’s check, money order or wire transfer. VISA is currently not accepted.
  • Credit card payments will incur a one-time convenience fee of 2.25% of the amount charged (minimum $3.00).
  • Online payment options are available via the Howdy Portal, under the My Finances tab, then select Billing - Tuition and Fees to find the link to the Pay Bill/Manage Account option.
  • Credit card payments are not accepted by the law school cashier’s office.

Payments by Check

  • Checks should be made payable to: Texas A&M University
  • Please include student's name and UIN number on your check to ensure accurate credit.

Payments made by check can also be made in-person at the law school cashier’s office or via the drop box. Credit card payments are not accepted by the law school cashier’s office.

Tuition and Fees Statements for Fall 2016 will be available online beginning August 29, 2016.

Fall 2016 Payment in Full Due Date

  • If you choose to pay your tuition and fees in full:
    • Tuition and fees due in full by 5:00 p.m. on September 9, 2016

Fall 2016 Installment Due Dates

  • If you enroll in the installment plan:
    • 1st payment due by 5:00 p.m. on September 9, 2016
    • 2nd payment due by 5:00 p.m. on October 7, 2016
    • 3rd payment due by 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2016
    • 4th payment due by 5:00 p.m. on December 2, 2016

Installment Plans can be added through 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2016.
