Things to Do in Santa Fe

The Opera

The Santa Fe Opera is located in a spectacular outdoor setting, about a 20-minute drive from the campus. Its summer productions are world-renowned and often feature internationally recognized musicians and singers. Many students have discovered that they loved the opera, even those who had no experience of opera beforehand and who thought they loved only country music! Check the Santa Fe Opera website to order tickets.

Other things to do in Santa Fe

Santa Fe is full of marvelous restaurants, museums, galleries, and shops. The Cathedral is famous and beautiful, and there are numerous wonderful sites. The International Folk Art Market will be held the weekend of July 10-12 on Museum Hill, near the campus. The International Folk Art Market provides a wonderful opportunity to see contemporary folk art and crafts from around the world, to meet the artists, and to buy their work. See www.folkartmarket.org. Music events in the summer include the Santa Fe Opera, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, free outdoor concerts on the campus on Wednesday evenings, and more jazz and contemporary music performances than you can count.
The restaurants are wonderful, the scenery is magnificent, and the art is stunning. You will find so much to do and to enjoy in Santa Fe!  Come study and enjoy!
